While I am a Lord of the Rings fan, this quote reminds of myself and my adventurous soul, of trying new things, exploring creation, loving new challenges, feeling new feelings… does this mean that I’m lost?
IT IS THROUGH MY WANDERING SOUL THAT SPIRITUALLY AND MENTALLY I HAVE FOUND MYSELF.
Here is the poem in full:
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
YOU LOOSE YOUR WAY… YOU BOUNCE BACK.
Often we take the path of least resistance, but what we fail to realize is that that path involves the most pain, in the long run.
THE MORAL OF THIS POEM IN MY WORDS… WE ALL HAVE A DESTINY AHEAD OF US, IN THE UNKNOWN AND THE ONLY WAY THAT WE CAN ACHIEVE ITS GREATNESS IS BY TAKING ONE STEP FORWARD… AND THEN ANOTHER… AND THEN ANOTHER, ULTIMATELY, RIGHTFULLY, CLAIMING YOUR WHAT IS YOURS. THIS ‘WHAT’ IS YOUR DESTINY… THE LIFE YOU WERE BORN TO LIVE.
…. WANDER ON!
